A strong card of harness racing will be staged at Warragul next Monday afternoon.
Officials anticipate eight events with the first due to start around Noon.
Highlight of the days activities is the club's annual Nasho Day function. Members of the National Servicemen's Association from the Latrobe Valley and beyond will enjoy the club's hospitality.
On the day the Warragul Harness Racing Club will also pay tribute to one of it's valued contributors and supporters, Les Wilms, who passed away recently.
Les worked as the saddlecloth number attendant for many years and was a popular figure with trainers and drivers at Warragul.
Meanwhile, Warragul Harness Racing Club committee member Jennifer Lewis was in the winner's list at the second day of the Redwood all trotting Carnival at Maryborough last Sunday afternoon.
Jenni trained Arcupandgo to win the $7500 Ralph Ford Memorial Mares Handicap.
Well rated by premier reinswoman Kerryn Manning, Arcupandgo sprinted clear of her rivals to score by a big margin, her first victory since a win on her home track in May.
Jenni and Kerryn combined for several feature race wins with Billy Royle several seasons back.
